110c Thermostats

110c Thermostats

Part: 110c thermostat

Purpose: A thermostat is a safety feature that cuts power to the element if the thermostat is tripped by overtemp. The thermostat is tripped by sensing direct heat contact with boiler.

Slayer upgraded the brew tank thermostat from 98c to 110c. The 98c thermostats had a variance which could cause a trip at brewing temperatures and not send voltage to the element causing a drop in temperature of the group. The new thermostats are rated 110c and, thus, will not trip at brewing temperatures.

Replacing 110c Thermostat

Turn machine off at power source
Remove cup tray and set aside
Remove screws holding top panel and set aside
Locate thermostat on the neck of the brew boiler
Remove the terminals from the thermostat
Unscrew with your fingers and remove
Screw in the new thermostat finger tight
If the thermostat is over tightened there is a risk of breaking the part in the tank
Reattach terminals
