Adjusting Brew Temp Offset Single Group

Tools Needed: Scace

Warm up your Scace. Best way is to leave it engaged in the group head and run 30 second cycles. Keeping in mind we are running cold water into the boiler when brewing, so the more frequently you run the cycle the lower the temp will go. Best practice is to run a 30 second cycle and wait one minute. Run 5 cycles to heat up the Scace. 

Attach connect your multi meter for your thermometer reading. 

  1. Run a 30 second water cycle in full brew. Turn the group off.  Note the temp right before turning off group.
  2. Press the circle to enter programming
  3. Scroll to advanced programming
  4. Press Circle to enter
  5. Scroll to brew temp offset. 
  6. Press circle to enter
  7. You'll see the temperature listed that the machine is currently assuming. 
  8. If your scace temp is higher than the machine temp, increase the offset. The number does not correlate to any degree value, it is simply a reference point.
  9. Return to step 1 and repeat the cycle 3 times. 
Your ultimate goal is to get your scace reading and the machine reading within 1-2 degree's F of each other or .1 - .15 C
