Group Magnet Switch Adjustment - Universal

Group Magnet Switch Adjustment - Universal

Group Mag Switch Alignment

Objective:
Inside the group head is a tongue with a magnet installed on it. This magnet comes in contact with the group switches which send signals to the control board for brewing. Occasionally, those magnets can become misaligned and need adjustment.

Time:
5 minutes

Tools:
#1 Philips Head Screw Driver
#3 Philips Head Screw Driver

Procedure

Step 1:
Loosen the three group cover screws.

Step 2:
Remove the group cover. Your machine will begin dispensing water.

Step 3:
Loosen the screws on the group mag switches. Adjust the location of the magnet.

If the group turns off, yet begins running when traveling past the off position, try adjusting the right mag switch further right/backward.

Step 4:
Replace the group cover, making sure the standoffs are aligned. Tighten screws and test actuation.

The continuity should reliably change based on the presence of the magnet.
