Blending Hot Water Mix Valve - Steam Series
Adjusting Hot Water Spout Temperature: Steam X, EP, & LP
SLAYER Steam Series machines feature a hot water mix valve which blends low pressure (line pressure) inlet water with hot (steam tank) water. The mix valve is a 24vDC solenoid valve and is activated by a push button located to the right of the hot water spout.
Objective:
Adjust the water temperature dispensed by the hot water spout.
Parts:
99015-10070 Hot Water Mix Valve Assembly, Steam
Time:
5 Minutes
Tools:
#2 Philips Screwdriver
Flathead Screwdriver
Step 1:
- Remove cup tray and locate hot water mix valve.

Blending knobs on Legacy Steam Series machines may be slightly pitched towards the rear of the machine. If access from the top of the machine isn't feasible. Remove left side panel using a #2 Philips Screwdriver to access blending knob.
Step 2:
- Rotate solenoid coil away from blending knob.
- With a flathead screwdriver:
- Hot Water - rotate clockwise.
- Cold Water - rotate counterclockwise.
- Adjust to desired temperature.

Only adjust hot water spout temperature while steam pressure is at 1.4 bars. This allows for mix valve to properly blend incoming, cold/room temperature, line pressure (3-5 bars) water with hot (steam tank) water.
