Blending Hot Water Mix Valve - V3

Adjusting Hot Water Spout Temperature: Espresso V3



SLAYER Espresso V3 machines feature a hot water mix valve which blends low pressure (line pressure) inlet water with hot (steam tank) water.  The mix valve is a 24vDC solenoid valve and is activated by a push button on the upper front panel just above the spout.

Objective:
  1. Adjust water temperature dispensed by the hot water spout.
Parts:
  1. 99003-20351 HOT WATER MIX VALVE ASSEMBLY
    1. Or:
  2. 30000-20351 HOT WATER MIX SOLENOID
    1. (Please consult SLAYER Support prior to ordering as a spare part.)
Tools:
  1. Large Flathead Screwdriver



Step 1:
  1. Remove cup tray.
  2. Remove left side panel.
    1. Three (3) flat head panel bolts in image below:

Step 2: Remove Side Panel
  1. Slide side panel out and away from machine.
Warning
Careful not to scratch panel!


Step 3: Locate Mix Valve
  1. All SLAYER mix valves are 24vDC and operate in a similar fashion.
  2. Cold inline water blends with hot steam tank water.
  3. Adjustable with a flathead screwdriver.

Step 4: Adjust Mix Valve
  1. Rotating mix valve knob CLOCKWISE restricts, cold, inline water.
  2. Rotating mix valve knob COUNTER-CLOCKWISE restricts hot, steam tank, water.
  3. Adjust to desired temperature.
