Checking Brew Element Resistance, Steam LP

Time Needed: 10 minutes


Parts Needed: 30000-20130 Element, Brew, 600 Watt, 220V

30000-20140 Gasket, Element, Teflon

Tools Needed: Multimeter, Phillips screwdriver





Step 1: Turn off both the power and breaker switches on the lower underside of machine.


Step 2: Remove top front and lower front panels. Start at 1:05 in this video.

Step 3: Disconnect Molex connection to the heating element.


Step 4: Set multimeter to Ohms Ω


Step 5: Place one lead on each leg of the element. You should hear a continuous beep indicating continuity and have a reading of 81 Ohms. In this photograph I have my red lead on the end of the high limit that connects directly to the element.
