Heli Coil for Steam Tank High Limit Replacement
Helicoil repair for damaged threads on Steam tank High Limit.
Tools Needed:
M4x/0.7 Helicoil Kit
11/64 Stainless Steel Drill Bit
Metal cutting Lube
Drill
Center punch
Link to where we sourced the product.
Use center punch to create a divot in the sheered off stem inside the tank.
Gauge the depth needed to drill by marking off with tape on the drill bit.
Only drill as deep as the high limit housing.
Using the drill bit, slowly drill out the hole.
Use the Helicoil kit instructions to clean, re-thread, and insert the Helicoil
Add a small application of thermal paste to the base and threads of the High Limit Thermostat.
Install finger tight.
