Neck Cover Alignment - Universal

Neck Cover Alignment - Universal

Slayer Espresso, Single Group, & Steam Series Neck Cover Alignment

All Slayer models feature a fabricated stainless neck cover designed to rest between the upper front panel and group head cover. Free floating and adjustable, the neck cover protects signal wires for group operation in addition to offering a clean aesthetic look.

Part:
13000-16040 - GROUP NECK COVER, SLAYER ESPRESSO & STEAM, 2/3 GROUP

Fit & Finish:
Proper orientation is detailed in the images below. The group neck cover is within-spec when the 'tail' of the cover is hidden underneath the front upper panel while exposing a few MM gap just behind the group cap.

Causes for Misalignment:
The group neck cover is not held in place by a screw. Therefore, it is necessary to align the cover square with the upper front panel and group cover before tightening down the respective panels. Causes for misalignment: Transit, annual service, pinched/bunched wires underneath cover, and misaligned front/upper front panels.

To adjust the neck cover. Loosen the front upper panel and group head cover.

Legacy and Production Differences:
Until early 2023, all models except for the Single Group had rubber bumpers underneath the group neck covers. This is no longer the case. Additionally, all Slayer group neck covers are the same dimension. Earlier serial numbers (Pre-2020) had different length neck covers for Steam and Espresso Series models.
