Main Power + Heating Circuit Breaker Switch
SLAYER two and three group Espresso Machines utilize two (2) power switches underneath the bottom right hand side of the drip tray, just below the data plate. SLAYER Single Group's feature a single main power switch.
Parts:
- 30000-20270 POWER SWITCH (ROCKER)
- 30000-20240 BREAKER,40A,2POLES (3 GROUP SINGLE PHASE MACHINES ONLY)
- 30000-20230 BREAKER,30A,2POLES (2 GROUP AND 3-PHASE MACHINES)
Each switch performs two separate actions:
- Main Power (Rocker) Switch
- DC voltage circuit.
- Breaker Switch
- AC current through heating circuit.
Main Power (Rocker) Switch:
All SLAYER Espresso Machines feature a main power switch. Once plugged into an
Appropriate Power Source, activating the switch will power the DC circuit. The DC circuit powers all machine functions except for a completed heating circuit (see breaker switch).

Main power switch is on the AC circuit! Essentially powering the power supply to rectify 220-240vAC down to 24vDC.
Breaker Switch:
Illustration above indicates breaker is ON, (switch positioned to the LEFT).
All two and three group SLAYER Espresso Machines feature a breaker switch. This switch, often referred to as the 'high voltage breaker switch' or 'heating circuit switch', serves one purpose - to allow AC current through the heating circuit. Similar to a panel breaker, a spring mechanism provides a slight resistance to activation when switching ON. Switching OFF, the spring decisively snaps back to the OFF position.

Breaker switch is on the AC circuit! Turning breaker switch ON allows current to flow through heating circuit; SSR, high limit switch, and elements (as long as illuminated heating indicator colons are present). Additionally, the breaker switch is the common denominator for the heating circuit!
SLAYER recommends all service be performed by an experienced SLAYER Espresso trained technician. For a technician reference near you, please contact SLAYER Support at (206)-284-7171 (#1 in Directory) or email support@slayerespresso.com.
Troubleshooting:
- Symptom:
- Machine not heating - Brew and steam tanks are cold, no errors, illuminated heating indicators are present.
- Solution:
- Verify breaker switch is ON.
