Replace Eltek Transducer

Replace Eltek Transducer

Tools Needed: #2 Phillips, Razor Blade, Tape, 1/2" wrench, Large adjustable wrench.

Time Needed: 15 Min

Turn off the machine and unplug
Turn off the water
Open steam valve to ensure steam pressure is relieved from the system, or open drain valve to steam tank
Cut a straight line on the plastic cover

Remove plastic covering on Transducer, Saving for later

Remove wire connector

With two wrenches, one on the brass body one on the nut loosen the tube nut

Replace with new transducer
Screw nut onto brass body with fingertips until "fingertip tight"
Using two wrenches tighten nut 1/8-1/4 turn. Do not over tighten. You can always snug it up during testing
Plug in the electrical connector
Turn on water
Plug in machine
Turn on machine
Once machine tests properly, turn off machine. 
Replace the plastic cover and use electrical tape to cover the cut in plastic
