RTD Test, Single Group


RTD Test, Single Group



Slayer recommends that all service be performed by an experienced Slayer Espresso trained technician.


Time Needed: 10 Minutes


Part Tested: 86004-20080 Single Group RTD W/ Molex

Parts can be requested from our Customer Logistics department.

Tools Needed: Multi Meter







Step 1: Remove the cup tray cover and set it aside. Remove top front panel by unscrewing the four screws.


Step 2: Locate the wiring bundle to the brew group, the white wire with a red and white connection is the RTD. Disconnect the Molex connection.


Step 3: Set the multimeter to Ohms, signified by the omega symbol. 



Step 4: Insert the probes of the multimeter into each port of the male Molex connection to measure the resistance. The resistance should be 500 Ohms at room temperature. If the machine is heated up the range will be 630-680 ohms 



If the RTD is outside of the specs listed, the part has failed and will need to be replaced.
