Espresso Single Group Error Code Identification
SLAYER Espresso Single Group error codes correlate directly to the affected hydraulic or electrical circuit. Error codes help isolate further troubleshooting measures.
When present on the display, error codes alternate between the Date & Time on the barista dashboard.
Brew Circuit:
- BREW FILL:
- Low or no water detected in brew tank while attempting to heat.
- Disables brew heater.
- Confirm brew tank is fully saturated.
- Drain valve is closed.
- BREW HEATER:
- Machine has detected brew heater over temperature.
- RTD misreading temperature.
- BREW OVERTEMP:
- Machine detects over temperature and disables brew heater.
- BREW SENSOR:
- RTD fault and/or poor molex connection.
Steam Circuit:
- STEAM FILL:
- Fill routine has run for ten minutes without detecting water.
- Disables steam heater until error is resolved.
- Check inline water pressure.
- Check autofill solenoid is functioning properly.
- STEAM HEATER:
- Steam pressure is below 1.0bar and/or no water detected in steam tank.
- Disables steam heater.
- Check inline water pressure.
- STEAM OVERTEMP:
- Machine detects over temperature/pressure and disables steam heater.
- STEAM SENSOR:
- Transducer is disconnected, interrupted, or has failed.
- Check molex and circuit board connection.
- Verify transducer wire is not damaged.
Universal:
HTR ERR is a catch all error which disables the heater of the affected circuit and is typically accompanied by a secondary error. Secondary errors, listed above, indicate the status or fault of either the brew or steam circuit. Affected circuit WILL NOT heat until machine has been power-cycled and/or a resolution measure has been met. - HTR OFF:
- Steam or brew heater is disabled.
- New machine factory default.
- Turn ON heaters in Advanced Menu when autofill circuit has completed and brew tank is fully saturated.
- HTR ERR:
- Disabled heater and secondary error is present.
- GENERAL ERROR:
- Software error.
- INTERNAL OVERTEMP:
- Circuit board over temperature detected.
- FATAL ERROR:
- Incorrect display input.
- Verify ribbon cable is secure to display and circuit board.
- Inadequate power supplied to machine.
