Hard Reset, Steam X

 
Steam X Hard Reset


This hard reset will send the brain back to factory settings. This means it will lose all information such as serial number and offsets.
Therefore, before doing this procedure, record serial number, brew offsets and flow meter offsets.
Machine Information:
  1. From the barista dashboard, scroll to Switch Off.
  2. While on the OFF screen. Press and hold Group 1 encoder knob for 12 seconds. This enters into the deep menu.
  3. Take note of the serial number unless already recorded.
  4. Press the encoder knob to initialize the machine from "Off" to the main barista menu.
  5. Press and hold the encoder knob for 5 seconds until the secondary menu appears. ("Heater Control" will be displayed.)
  6. Record the following information: 
    1. Celsius or Fahrenheit
    2. Brew Temp Offset
    3. Max Pressure:  2Bar or 100 PSI. (Eltek is “2Bar”, Honeywell is “100 PSI”)
    4. Brew Parameters
    5. Flow Meter Offsets
  7. When the information is recorded, turn off the low voltage switch (power switch)
  8. Press the hot water button and the encoder knob at the same time. With both these button pressed, turn on the machine.
    The machine should read 'preset done'.
  9. Power Cycle
  10. Re-enter machine information recorded in previous steps, with the addition of "Number Of Groups"
