The steam EP steam boiler fills with line pressure. We did this to allow the machine to fill and not rob brew pressure while the machine is brewing. The machine can be configured to pull off the pump, for example if you wanted to use a water bottle.
CAUTION: This configuration is only intended for short term usage or trade show events. This is not the intended function of the machine. Slayer always recommends connecting the machine to mains line pressure or an
auxiliary
pump to feed water to the machine. Extended periods of time without mains pressure can lead to damage to the pump or to the heating system. Slayer does not recommend leaving the machine powered on when the machine is inactive (overnight, when trade show shuts down, or weekends).
Switch the T fitting on the inbound (right) side of the pump to the left side.
Connect the blue and the red lines to the T on the left. Connect the inbound water on the right side.
Next we need to change the program for the machine to use the pump while filling.
Using the encoder knob scroll to the left to switch off. Press the encoder, scroll to yes, press the encoder
From the switched off menu, press and hold the encoder knob for 10 seconds.

Press the encoder to initialize the machine.
Boiler should fill using the pump.
