Verify Firmware - Slayer Steam X, EP, & LP



Objective:
Identify operating firmware for diagnosis, hardware compatibility, and machine features.

There are several hardware retrofits, improvements, and bug fixes which come as a result of upgrading firmware. Notable updates include:
  1. Original Slayer Steam Vaporizer removal.
  2. Honeywell to Eltek transducer retrofit.
  3. Display OFF feature.

Current firmware versions:
Steam LP: 1.22
Steam EP: 1.10
Steam X: 1.07
Step 1:
This step happens quickly!
  1. Power cycle machine by turning the main power rocker switch OFF & ON.
  2. The switch is located under the bottom right side of the machine from the barista point of view.


  1. With eyes on the Group 1 display.
  2. A brief prompt will flash on display:
    1. Firmware Version
    2. Group Number
    3. Serial Number
