Objective:
The following guide demonstrates removal of standard configuration drip tray liner and installation of drip tray reservoir on a Slayer Single Group featuring a canister drain manifold.
Info

Parts:
  1. 13004-10240 Dray Tray With Reservoir, Single Group
  2. 40000-32160 Silicone Tube, 9"

Tools:
  1. #2 Philips Screw Driver
  2. 3/8" Wrench
  3. 7/16" Wrench
  4. 7/16" Socket
  5. #2 Stubby Philips Screw Driver
  6. Small Flathead Screw Driver

Step 1:
  1. Using the buddy system. Place the machine on a block.
  2. Remove cup tray, front upper panel, and drip tray cover.
(Group actuator and rear panel are absent for demonstration purposes.)

Step 2:
  1. Remove drain hose manifold.

  1. Once drain hose is disconnected from drip tray liner.
  2. Remove drip tray liner bolts with 7/16" socket and wrench.

Step 3:
  1. Using a #2 philips screw driver remove upper front panel.
  2. Loosen and gently remove 3/8" brew gauge compression fitting.

  1. Using a #2 stubby screw driver. Remove front panel by loosening the two (2) panel screws which connect the front panel to the base plate.

  1. Brace front panel so it does not drop out of place.
  2. After the two (2) panel screws have been removed. Tilt the panel forwards and backwards to carefully uninstall front panel.
Alert
This step can be tricky. Be patient as to not scratch the side panels or X feet. If the tolerances are too tight, you may need to remove the group head bayonet ring for more front panel clearance.

Step 4:
  1. Identify drain canister.

  1. Carefully twist and slide PVC drain hose off canister bottom.
Alert
A small flathead screw driver may be used to assist PVC hose removal.
  1. Remove bottom green barb cap.

  1. Relocate green barb cap to the bottom discharge port of the drain canister.
  2. Attach new silicon drain tubing to drain canister.
  3. Thread through hole in front panel.

Step 5:
  1. Reassemble front panel.
Info
Reservoir drip tray does not require hardware.
  1. Snap drip tray into place and drop silicon drain tube into reservoir cut out.
